Liquidow™ Calcium Chloride

Liquidow™ calcium chloride is a liquid solution form of calcium chloride.  It is available in concentrations ranging from 28 to 42%.  Calcium chloride is one of the most versatile of all of the basic chemicals.  The properties and characteristics of calcium chloride make it useful in a large number of applications.

Calcium chloride is hygroscopic, which means is absorbs moisture from the air.  It will absorb moisture until an equilibrium is reached between the vapor pressure of the solution and that of the air.  Calcium chloride retains the moisture it absorbs for long periods of time.  That is why calcium chloride works so well for dust control.

Calcium chloride also produces heat as it dilutes.  It melts (dilutes) at much lower temperatures than salt.  Thus, calcium chloride is very useful in the melting process in cold snowy conditions.
